After yesterday’s exhausting 10 hour day, the third was a leisurely walk through the woods (~10 km). Sarah’s husband, Tim, picked us up at a parking lot at the end of the trail. Together with our two daughters, Zoe (age 5) and Eve (age 3) we then went to fill up our commissions. We had to go to three different camping stores to find gas. Strange for this area.
Sarah and Tim then took us to Arrowtown to continue walking from there towards Wanaka.
Since we had scheduled the next day as a break day, Logan and I walked another 5 km towards Macetown and then looked for a cozy spot to camp. We found it right next to the river we were walking along
