Way of St. James

I had decided in 2019 after my almost two months of hiking in New Zealand, to run again a longer distance in one piece. I had the Camino de Santiago in mind for years, but never took the time to really tackle the project. In March 2020, I made myself relatively unprepared on the way. Due to the flare-up of the pandemic around the world, and recently also in Europe, I had to break off my hike after only 9 days and postpone it indefinitely. I had hoped to be able to finish the Camino already in October of the same year. Unfortunately, nothing came of it for a much longer time. It would certainly have gone earlier, but there was not much information online about the status of the hostels.

In March 2022, I was finally able to continue and finish my hike on the Camino Francés from Burgos. Originally written for family and friends in my diary and shared on WhatsApp, you can find the diary entries of all days written together here and decorated with a few pictures
