We took a day break and went exploring near Pakituki Hut with only daypacks. We hiked up a narrow trail along the rugged rock to a rise to get to a spot where we could relax for the day and get a good view down to Lake Hawea

If you take your time to take in the rock formations, you will always notice how breathtaking nature is in its arbitrariness

In the evening back in the hut arrived had already gathered some new roommates for dinner. Exhausted from the day, we toasted to Logan’s birthday and enjoyed the sunset before falling into bed
