Day 7 – Nájera

Today nothing special happened, except that more Asians (no idea if they are also Koreans) crossed my path. Slowly I must look once whether there is also a pilgrimage in Korea. Then maybe I can return the favor
Today I tried to do a walking meditation. Instead of breathing, one pays attention to the individual steps and tries not to be distracted by thoughts. After stumbling three times, I let it go.
Hostels (albergues)
Here, of course, everything is designed for the many pilgrims who pass through here every year. There is usually a communal hostel in the larger “stations”. The communal ones are usually the cheap 7-10 euros and sometimes even free (on a donation basis). These are therefore also rather spartan bed camps. Yesterday there were 24 in one room. For a few euros more you get a 4-8 bed room and if you are lucky without a snorer. In the big ones you will surely meet at least one every day. A few of the Koreans are already known among the pilgrims for it
Since I have good earplugs, it has not bothered me so far. According to several fellow travelers, I am not one of the troublemakers
Some hostels offer a mostly paid breakfast, but you can safely forget it. For the same money, you can get better food and coffee in small stores along the way.
