Day 11 Fromista
36.2 km (336.2) 7 h
Since I enjoyed the kilometers so much yesterday, the hostel owners thought to add one more today
Before Fromista, not a single hostel was open, although I passed through a few towns. I walked today, armed with an orange into the sunrise. Until behind Léon I am now continuously on a plateau. That is, there are not many climbs and largely unvegetated fields to observe. I could not find out yet, what is cultivated here. I suspect cereals
For sure, the landscape gets a completely different touch when everything grows and thrives here
After about 4 hours and 20 km I let a lovely older lady make me a delicious sandwich (bocadillo) and rested a bit with it on the church forecourt in Itero de la Vega (Aue) for lunch
Unfortunately, the rest has caused more pain in the thighs than it has taken me. So I decided to run a little bit more comfortable. I kept it up until the 65 year old Spaniard Francesco caught up with me. He then pulled me at a brisk pace to Fromista. Old father, the good man is fit, and I now on the backside
Tomorrow I step surely something shorter…
